Entering into a New Phase....for Sam

So, if you've listened to our latest episodes, you may have heard that I was stuck in the middle on whether I wanted to move on to a new opportunity. So, the verdict is in.... and I took the job offer. Even though, I absolutely loved my previous job and one of my closest friends worked there, I made the difficult decision to change jobs. I'll give my explanation.

In my last job, I got to travel, do research, listen to my music and/or podcast during the day, and see my closest friend throughout the day. But after about a year and a half, I received another opportunity that would fit the schedule for our brand and being able to spend more time and energy doing it. Since March, I had been working fifty plus hours a week and being completely exhausted and then coming home and having to fulfil my mom duties as well. Then on top of it, I would travel also, even though it was slowly decreasing. But among the hours, the pay and benefits weren't the greatest. Plus, the drama and favoritism there was getting increasingly worse as the days went on and of course, the lazy employees seemed to be enjoying more benefits and less stress compared to the more ambitious and more capable ones. So anyway... this new opportunity offered more benefits, better hours and hopefully less drama. Plus, this way I can take on more for our brand, Slacks to Sweats.

Amber and I have so many big goals for our brand. The vision we have for Slacks to Sweats is so exciting and we just want to spend all our time working on it. Unfortunately, our brand seemed to be placed on the back burner because I've been working so many hours on my previous job and then my kids are also in sports and have other after school events going on as well. So, I'm putting out positive vibes that this new opportunity is going to give me peace and comfort, so I can put more effort and time into this wonderful brand.

So, on that note, I think I've rambled enough for today! I hope all our listeners and/or readers are exciting about this new awakening as we are! This decision to take this new opportunity was not easy, but we believe, it's a step into the right direction to grow and expand more so!
