The Joy of Summer Camping
With the summer winding down, what's better than camping?! In today's blog post, we're going to discuss our experience with camping. So, let's go!
This may come as a surprise, but we absolutely enjoy summer and the beautiful warm weather that comes with it. Yes, Wisconsin does get a few hot, humid days in the summer. However, now that we are into August, we can't help but get excited for the 'ber months (September, October, November, and of course December!).
Slowing Down in August
August tends to be a busy month, with the hustle and bustle of getting ready for school just around the corner. Despite the busy schedules, we like to take some time to slow down and enjoy the tail end of summer. One of the best ways we know to relax and savor the remaining warm days is by camping. Typically, we try to go camping at least once during this month to fully immerse ourselves in nature before the cooler weather sets in.
The Beauty of Wisconsin’s Campsites
Wisconsin offers a plethora of picturesque campsites, each with its unique charm. From the serene lakeside spots to the dense forest hideaways, there's something for every type of camper. This year, we chose a campsite that offered stunning views of a nearby lake, where we could swim during the day and enjoy mesmerizing sunsets in the evening. The natural beauty of Wisconsin provides a perfect backdrop for those seeking to unwind and reconnect with nature.
Creating Lasting Memories
Camping is not just about escaping the hustle and bustle of daily life; it's also about creating lasting memories. From setting up the tent to cooking meals over an open fire, every experience is a cherished moment. Our favorite part of the trip was undoubtedly the nights spent around the campfire, sharing stories and gazing at the starry sky. These simple pleasures remind us why camping is such a cherished tradition for many families.
In conclusion, as we bid farewell to summer, camping provides a wonderful opportunity to slow down, enjoy nature, and make lasting memories. Whether you're an experienced camper or someone looking to try it for the first time, Wisconsin's campsites offer a perfect retreat. So, before the school season begins and the weather cools down, why not plan a camping trip and embrace the last days of summer?
